Our education volunteers support programs for school students, children and family groups at the Adelaide Botanic Garden.
Current opportunities available:
Little Sprouts Kitchen Garden volunteer
Tasks may include:
- Supporting Botanic Gardens and State Herbarium education staff in the presentation of workshops for students, teachers, and family groups in the Little Sprouts Kitchen Garden.
- Sharing information with visitors about where food comes from, healthy eating, sustainability and environmental awareness, lifecycle of plants, diversity of food and intercultural understand.
- Supporting school holiday tours, workshops and events.
- Minor garden care and maintenance (e.g. Setup/pack up and cleaning post-workshops, planting, weeding and composting tasks.)

While we are currently at capacity for volunteer roles with the Botanic Gardens and State Herbarium, we still invite you to please register your interest online.
All new applications will be added to the waiting list and we will contact you when new positions become available. New positions are not likely to become available until May 2025.
