Join us for a hands-on workshop as you're guided through beautiful Adelaide Botanic Garden by a professional artist and illustrator.
On a leisurely stroll, you will explore awe-inspiring artworks by world-celebrated artist, Dale Chihuly.
Stopping at different glass sculptures in the exhibition, you will take part in a variety of art-based activities where nature provides the inspiration!
Participants will be provided with drawing materials to complete each activity.
Finish the workshop at the In Full Colour: Dale Chihuly exhibition inside the lush rainforest conservatory, where you can participate in the Moore Critters competition.
Young people are invited to draw their own creature and pop it in the 'furnace'. Celebrated local glass artist, Tom Moore, selects a design from the furnace each month to create out of glass. The selected winner will be invited to watch their design be made at JamFactory and gets to take their glass sculpture home at the end of the exhibition!
At this part of the workshop, your artist guide will give you ideas and advice on how Tom Moore chooses the winners and you will see the winning sculptures from October, November and December.
